Season 3, Episodes 7 & 8

Episode 7: A Measure of Salvation
  • Athena having an emotional reaction to seeing all the Cylons on the baseship and being called a traitor by another Eight.
  • Gaius kissing up to both Three and Six. He's such a bumbling buffoon sometimes!
  • Showing us Head Six while Gaius was being tortured was interesting. Him then saying to Caprica Six that he loved her seemed very genuine for Gaius.
  • Helo & Athena are indeed married. (Apollo referred to her as "Karl's wife" and Helo himself said "I'm married to a Cylon"). That's nice.
  • Does Three think Gaius loves her?
  • Seeing Athena cry about the potential genocide of the Cylons broke my heart a little. (I'm starting to like her more this season.)
  • Laura and Bill on first name terms always makes me happy!
Quotes (so many good ones!)

Helo: "Genocide? So that's what we're about now?"

Gaius: "I believe if God exists, our knowledge of him is imperfect. Why? Because the stories and myths we have are the product of men, the passage of time. The religion you practice is based on a theory, impossible to prove, yet you bestow it with absolutes like 'there is no such thing as coincidence'."

Laura: "You're making an assumption that posterity will define this as genocide. If they do, at least there'll be someone alive to hate us for it."

Starbuck: "Hey, let's see if we can't frak up some toasters on this joyride, people." [Classic Starbuck!]
    Episode 8: Hero
    • Laura deciding to put Gaius' portrait over the toilet was genius!
    • Bulldog's emergence from the Cylon raider was very much like a birth. Symbolism?
    • Adama's flashbacks look even more like a documentary than the rest of the show.
    • Oh dear - Three, Gaius and Six in a threesome. Gross!
    • Adama started the war with the Cylons? Or was he set up?
    • Three is addicted to dying?
    • Laura telling Adama off like he was a student who had been misbehaving! Ha!
    Quote

Adama (on medals): "They give them out for anything these days. Good behaviour, attendance, playing well with others." This nicely referenced the way Laura spoke to him previously.
